Stolen Identity

Styling & Art Direction: Yohamy Cisneros, BFA Fashion Styling

Yohamy Cisneros, BFA Fashion Styling, Academy of Art University, explores concerns about the fragility of our identity in the social media world of globally shared personal content, and the rise of automated facial recognition. While our electronic devices and security cameras allow facial recognition, the countermovement brings up companies developing 3D masks based on social media photographs, capable of fooling the software.  Collections by Ryan Yu and Hailun Zhou, both MFA Fashion Design graduates, support the sci-fi aspect of the story with their metallic, plastic, and black and white graphic effects.
